Alyssa Jackson

B.A. Psychology. FMS, NASM PT, PN1

Athlete Performance Coach

Former Division 1 Soccer Player

From an early age, Alyssa was encouraged to be both active and competitive. Her parents introduced her to the outdoors, but it was the game of soccer that helped develop her passion for sports and athletics. She played for the W.F.C Rangers before accepting an athletic scholarship to a Division 2 school in Colorado. A successful Freshman year prompted her to transfer to the University of New Hampshire -  a Division 1 program. Despite the challenges she faced playing for a D1 university, Alyssa experienced the most progress in the weight room. This initiated an interest for all things strength and conditioning. After graduating with a degree in Health Psychology in 2012, Alyssa and her husband Devon moved back to Seattle. She continued to pursue her passion by earning her personal training certificate via the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2015.  She also began to investigate her passion for nutrition and subsequently earned her nutritional coaching certificate from Precision Nutrition (PN1). Alyssa and Devon moved back to Bellingham in 2016 where she worked at The Bellingham Sportsplex before accepting a position at Gritworks Athletics.

Alyssa plans to pursue a Masters in Nutrition and use her education and experience to help both young athletes and adult clients reach their full potential wherever that may be.
